  • TASTING NOTES - The liquor of this white tea is like an elixir : smooth, rounded, a yellow hued sapphire gold. The first sip offers a smooth delicate soft floral peony notes. The following note is led hints of a summer fruit, notes of mango.   • USDA CERTIFIED ORGANIC TEA - Makaibari Tea Estates is free from pesticides, toxins and chemicals. Tea here is treated as a herb, one of the many medicines provided by the surrounding forests. The mulch used is completely natural, formulated with what is available at the estate, to not upset the delicate balance of the permaculture system.​
  • DEMETER AND FAIR TRADE CERTIFIED - One of the first tea estates in the world to get demeter certification that is given for biodynamic practices observed at the estate, Makaibari is Certified Biodynamic since 1988. This implies that the estate uses practices that are healthy for the soil and the garden, no harmful pesticides or chemicals that leech into the pristine soil or harm the flora, fauna at the estate, are ever used.
